IPv6

IPv6

  • On-site 5 day intensive classroom training for corporates on IPv6.
  • The training covers planning, designing, migration, maintaining and project management of IPv6. Planning worksheets and other tools are demonstrated during the training.
  • The address space of the current IPv4 is fast depleting. Broad network access, BYOD, IoT, smart homes and Cloud: all guzzle up IP addresses. The limited 32 bit (IPv4) address space also came with performance limiting baggage such as ARP resolution, NAT and subnetting.
  • Registries across the world have run out of IPv4 address pools - APNIC (Asia Pacific region) in 2011, RIPE NCC (Europe) in 2012 and ARIN (US & Canada) in 2015.
  • IPv6 overcomes the limitations of IPv4 and provides a 128 bit address space, which by some estimates are enough to allocate a unique address to every grain of sand on this planet. It also enhances performance and security.
  • Not migrating to IPv6 is not an option. It is not a question of whether to do so but of when.
